In the past 25 years, the styling of the Miata has gone from an 11/10-scale Lotus Elan,
To a 3/4-scale Jaaaaaaag...
To a modern interpretation of its roots:
To...
something...
Italian?
Could this have to do with the Alfa connection?

Did you watch the whole reveal? Later on well after Duran Duran the designer actually explained why they did everything. Makes a lot more sense and looks better to me now. The lights for example get inspiration from the NA.
